Preliminary Task-Script
The Revenge
(It’s one late Wednesday evening in June 2012. And as usual two businessmen named James and Trent are again at the office sorting out paperwork during one of their late work shifts)
James: It’s really annoying having to work late, isn’t it Trent?
Trent: Not for me, it isn't. I just get on with the work because it's important.
James: I guess you’re right, besides we’re almost done finishing this work.
Trent: Indeed James.
(They hear a sudden knock on the door)
Trent: I wonder who that could be?
James: I’m not sure, you go and check.
(Trent walks over to the door) (He opens the door to find nobody there)
Trent: Huh, that’s strange. There's nobody there.
(Trent goes back to his seat, confused)
James: Maybe we were imagining it.
Trent: Perhaps.
(They hear a knock on the door for a second time)
Trent: There better be someone at the door!
(Trent goes to investigate again with a stern look on his face)
(He opens the door, but surprisingly nobody was there)
(He goes back to his seat again)
Trent: James?
James: Yeah?
Trent: I think I’m going mad.
James: Let me guess why. No one was at the door, was there?
Trent: That's right, there wasn't.
James: Oh well, Let’s just finish this paperwork so we can eventually get home.
Trent: Good point, yes.
(Much to their annoyance, they hear a third knock on the door)
James: This time, I’ll go and have a look.
(James, feeling frustrated wonders over to the door)
(He opens it, but there was no one there again)
James: There’s obviously some crazy maniac who’s broken into the building.
(James leaves the door open, turns his back to door)
(James hears someone breathing heavily behind him)
(James falls to the ground with blooding spilling from his back)
Trent: No! James! Why!?
(Trent hurries over, then drops down to his knees in horror)
(The murderer laughs maniacally while watching over the corpse of James).
